لقد تشرفت بلقاء سعادة السفير البريطاني السيد هايمش كويل مع وفد مرافق، وكانت مناسبة لتقديم الشكر والإمتنان للسفارة البريطانية في لبنان لسعيها الدؤوب ودعمها المتواصل لخدمات الصليب الأحمر اللبناني وكذلك التنويه بجهود ودعم الصيلب الأحمر البريطاني كشريك من شركائنا الأساسيين في حركة الصليب الأحمر والهلال الأحمر
وتأتي هذه الزيارة في إطار إتفاقية التعاون التي أعلنها معالي وزير شؤون الشرق الأوسط السيد هيمش فولكنر خلال زيارته لبنان الشهر الفائت، ولا بد أن نثمّن عالياً ما عبّر عنه سعادة السفير البريطاني تجاه الصليب الأحمر اللبناني من تقدير وإحترام لجهوده لا سيّما خلال الحرب الأخيرة.
We were honored to meet His Excellency the British Ambassador, Mr. Hamish Cowell, and accompanying delegation. We would also like to express gratitude to the British Embassy in Lebanon for its tireless efforts and continuous support to the services of the Lebanese Red Cross, as well as to acknowledge the efforts and support of the British Red Cross as one of our key partners within the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
This visit comes within the framework of the cooperation agreement announced by Minister for the Middle East Hamish Falconer during his visit to Lebanon last month. We value the appreciation and respect expressed by His Excellency the British Ambassador towards the Lebanese Red Cross, particularly for its efforts during the recent war.
